‘ALL I HAVE IS A VOICE.’ – W.H ALDEN
“Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to malign. But stories can also be used to empower, and to humanize. Stories can break the dignity of a people. But stories can also repair that broken dignity.” ― Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (My favourite African Female Writer)
I am a humanitarian leader with a love for creativity. As a high school student, I was passionate about I.T, but I discovered, after much soul searching, that my real fulfillment lay in making actual differences in people’s life’s through leadership.
Most people feel powerless, not because they can’t influence the decisions that affect their country and their lives, but rather because they don’t feel heard or heeded-they cannot use their voices.
W.H Alden is one of my favorite poets. He believed that people have true power when they speak about what they feel and see. This is the philosophy behind my blog. To use my voice, which is all I truly have, to make a difference in people’s lives.
